  For Cake

  • Eggs                   2
  • Sugar                 3 Tbsp
  • Milk                     2 Tbsp
  • Oil                       2 Tbsp
  • Condensed Milk  3 Tbsp
  • All purpose flour  2/3 cup
  • Baking powder    2 tsp
  • vanilla essence    1/2 tsp

For Frosting

  • Unsalted butter    50 g
  • Powdered sugar  150 g
  • vanilla essence     1/2 tsp
  • Milk                       1/4 tsp [ optional]

sieve flour and baking powder together, keep it aside.

lightly beat the eggs add in sugar, milk, oil and condensed milk one by one.  give a quick stir to the mixture before adding the next ingredient.

now add the flour to the egg mixture slowly and gently mix it until well combined. do not over do it, otherwise the cake will lose it’s sponge texture.

Pour the batter into cups [ butter up the cups] and steam in hot boiling water for 10-15 minutes or fork inserted comes out clean. remove it and let it cool on a wire wreck.

Buttercream Frosting

In a bowl combine butter, and sugar. beat until creamy. then add the vanilla and beat for 2 minutes. you can add milk to get your desired consistency.

it is alright  to have some lumps in the batter, do not over mix it.

steaming time will depend on your cake size, so you have to adjust it.

the cake was more tastier on next day.
