This is a Asian style fried chicken, exactly Sri Lankan. It is commonly served in wedding parties or in  family gatherings. My mom always make this and we all love this fried chicken so much.

Ingredients

  • Chicken [Big pieces]       500 g
  • Turmeric Powder            1 tsp
  • Chili Powder                    1 tbsp
  • Pepper Powder               1/2 tsp
  • Lime/Lemon Juice           1 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste         1/2 tsp
  • Water                               2 cups
  • Salt to Taste
  • Oil for deep fry

Method 1

Take a pan and add in chicken, salt, 1/4 tsp turmeric and water. cook around 15 -20 minutes until done.

Meanwhile in a bowl combine the remaining things except oil and make a paste. Coat the cooked chicken  with this paste and leave it for 30 minutes.

Then deep fry them until golden brown colour or you can Bake them for 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 180º c.

Method 2

In a bowl combine all the spices, lime juice, ginger garlic paste and salt. make it like a paste and coat the chicken well. Marinate the chicken for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Then deep fry the chicken until Golden Brown in medium flame.

Notes

from first method you will get chicken stock, you can use it to cook the rice or make a soup.

If you like more juicy then second method is best for you.
